Direct Action Recovery Training (D.A.R.T.tm)

D.A.R.T. is an advance and dynamic Firearms training course that combines handgun and carbine techniques in close quarter engagements. The course consist of Close quarter pistol, close quarter carbine, vehicle dynamics and team Dynamics exercises.

Prerequisite: Tactical Handgun II, Tactical Carbine I, High Intensity Pistol Shooting (H.I.P.S.). This course is a fast passed and dynamic. The student need to have a good technical and tactical understanding of handgun, carbine and firearm safety procedures.

Subjects Covered:

  • Advance Rifle Fundamentals
  • Basic Team Development
  • C3-PO concept (Calm, Cool and Consistency= Positive Outcome)
  • Close Quarter marksmanship
  • Close Quarter Carbine and transition Drills
  • Close Quarter Engagement
  • Understanding the OODA loop and how it incorporates into a Tactical Mindset
  • Effective Mindset
  • Loading, reloading, and unloading procedures
  • Managing and clearing multiple malfunctions
  • Carry Positions: Low ready, High Ready, SUL possition
  • Multiple target engagement in confine spaces
  • Varied positional shooting platforms (Prone, Kneeling, Barricade)
  • Transition from Primary to Secondary firearm
  • Shooting Moving and Communicating

Equipment needed:

  • Carbine in good working order and sighted in 25 yd to 35 yd preferred *
  • Handgun in good working order (.380 cal to .45 cal)
  • Good Tactical gun holster
  • Good sturdy wide tactical belt for your gun holster
  • Tactical Rig, Body Armor Rig
  • Sling (1 or 2 point sling)
  • Spare magazines (3 or more for your carbine)
  • Belt Magazine holder for (1) AR- AK magazines
  • Spare magazines (3 magazines for your handgun)
  • Magazine Holder for (2) Handgun magazine
  • Optics Red dot (optional however recommended)
  • Eye and ear protection
  • Baseball cap
  • Knee pad
  • Elbow pads (optional)
  • Floor or yoga mat (harbor freight anti fatigue roll mat is cheap)
  • Inclement weather gear (Rain Jacket)
  • Small notebook and pen
  • Sun Screen
  • Bug Juice
  • Cleaning kit (optional)
  • 750 rounds (5.56/.223/7.62×39)
  • 500 rounds for your handgun (.380-.45 cal)

* We recommend you wear comfortable running shoes or hiking boots, long pants, long sleeve shirt (optional but recommended),( no shorts, skirts, no sandals, open toe shoes or high heels).

**Please note that the weather in Florida in very unpredictable. We will shoot rain or shine the course will not be cancelled unless we have severe lighting storms, flooding, hurricane.
